About Us

I have always grown up with board games to play. My Aunt would send our family a different game every Christmas. Through high school I would gather with friends and play Axis & Allies, later on when I was married I would get together a group to play Monopoly. Then I was introduced to Settlers of Catan, from there I would play that game continously for about a year, this game was so different from Monopoly and Axis and Allies. It didn't take so long to play and the board changed with each game. I was later introduced to a game called Ticket to Ride. I was hooked on these games. I have since expanded my collection as well as my enjoyment of this hobby.

The purpose of The Board Game Guy.com is to expand the board gaming hobby to those around me, through teaching, playing and selling games. I have found that board gaming in general brings groups of people together, wheather they be family or friends. It is very much a social hobby.

Beyond Boardwalk Presentation

In this 90 minute presentation, I will teach 3 games (Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride) and allow those attending to participate and get a feel for the flow of play.

After the party those attending will have the option to purchase any of the 3 games they would like too.

I am not a high pressure sales person. I think these games pretty much sale themselves. There is NO obligation to buy.

Custom Presentations

In my custom presentations, I can put together several games of you're choice, to teach and allow others attending to participate and get a feel for the flow of play.

These presentations can focus on "Party Type Games", "Card Games", "Abstract Strategy Games" or whatever games you choose to have me present. It's up to you. There is NO obligation to buy. If you are unfamiliar with these titles I would be willing to suggest some games to you.
